Pure potassium sulfate is a colorless crystal, belonging to the orthorhombic system. The density at 20°C is 2.662g/cm3, the melting point is 1069°C, and the boiling point is >2000°C. The solubility in water is 11.1 g/100g water at 20°C and 24.2 g/100g water at 100°C, and its aqueous solution is slightly acidic. The boiling point of the saturated solution is 101.4°C. Insoluble in ethanol, acetone, carbon disulfide and other organic solvents.

The solubility of potassium sulfate decreases when the solution contains other readily soluble potassium salts. When other sulfates are dissolved in the solution, the solubility of potassium sulfate increases significantly, forming a double salt.

Potassium sulfate is orthorhombic D2H16 at room temperature; when the temperature is higher than 583 ℃, it gradually transforms into trigonal D3D3.

Pure potassium sulfate contains 44.88% potassium, which is 54.06% when converted into K2O. The bulk density of commercial potassium sulfate is 1.18g/cm3, and the angle of repose is 35. . The critical relative humidity at 30°C is 96.3%, the hygroscopicity is very small, it is not easy to agglomerate, the chemical properties are stable, and it can be stacked for a long time.

After potassium sulfate is applied to the soil, due to the unbalanced absorption of K+ and SO42- by crop roots and the ion exchange reaction with soil colloid, the soil is acidified, and it is a physiological acid fertilizer.

Potassium chloride: This device uses imported potassium chloride as raw material (domestic potassium chloride cannot fully meet the quality requirements because of its high moisture content and instability), and the purity of potassium chloride requires KCl ≥ 96.0% (that is, K2O ≥ 60% ), water content ≤ 0.5%.

Sulfuric acid: The concentration of sulfuric acid used in this device is H2SO4≥98.0%.

4. Product features and uses:

(1) Potassium sulfate is mainly used as fertilizer and applied to some chlorine-avoiding crops (chloride ions reduce the yield and quality of some crops), such as tobacco, citrus, grapes, tea, flax, potatoes, vegetables, etc. Another important use is the manufacture of sulfate-containing NPK blended fertilizers and the supply of sulfur-deficient agricultural crops with sulfur nutrients.
