Melamine is made up of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen from the raw material urea.  It has become an important raw material in the global synthetic resin production.  As one of the world market leaders in the production of melamine, we produce approximately 50,000 tonnes of melamine per year at levels ≥99.8% for use in the plastics and coatings industry.  Melamine resin can be prepared by condensation polymerization with formaldehyde.  Melamine also plays an important role in the manufacture of anti-folding and anti-shrinkage processing agents for textile materials.

· Laminate -- laminate flooring, kitchen and bathroom countertops, self-assembled furniture, exterior cladding  

· Wood -- Plywood, particleboard, MEDIUM density Fiberboard (MDF), Oriented particleboard (OSB), laminated veneer wood (LVL)  

· Paint -- body panels, household appliances, food and beverage cans, metal plate rolls  

· Molded plastics -- tableware, electrical equipment, pan handles, utensils  

· Flame retardants -- upholstery, mattresses, fire door coatings  

· Resins for textile and paper finishing, including banknotes, wallpaper, wrinkle-resistant clothing  

· Concrete plasticizer
