Pumpkin's fertilizer requirements: Pumpkin likes organic fertilizer. The amount of fertilizer and nutrient combination should be determined according to plant growth and soil fertility.

Four fertilization processes for pumpkins:

1. Pumpkin base fertilizer:

Because the pumpkin has a well-developed root system and a strong ability to absorb fertilizer, it must be turned 30 cm deep before winter and two plows the next spring. Apply 75,000 kilograms of decomposed high-quality organic fertilizer per hectare.

2. Pumpkin fattening:

After the pumpkin is transplanted slowly, if the seedlings are weak and the leaves are light and yellow, watering and topdressing can be combined with fertilizer, and 3750~4500 kg of dilute manure water per hectare can be applied.

3. Pumpkin fertilizer:

When the plant enters the mid-growth stage, when 1 to 2 young melons are seated, the fruit fertilizer should be re-applied before sealing. Generally, 15000-22500 kg of decomposed dilute manure water or cake fertilizer water per hectare should be applied. If there is drought during this period, watering can be combined, and compound fertilizer 225~300 kg/ha can be applied along with water.

4. Late topdressing of pumpkin:

After the fruit is harvested, a small amount of organic fertilizer can be applied to prevent premature senescence of the plant and increase the yield in the later period. If you do not harvest tender melons, but prepare to harvest mature melons, you do not need to top-dress in the later stage, only watering or drainage is needed. In the middle and late stages, 0.2%~0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate can also be sprayed, once every 7~10 days, and spray 2~3 times continuously.
