What's the difference between slow-release fertilizer and slow-release fertilizer?

VIEWS: times Release Date:2020-06-25

Controlled release fertilizer is an advanced form of slow-release fertilizer. It mainly controls the release of nutrients through coating technology to achieve the purpose of safety, long-term and high efficiency. It is the main direction of the development of modern fertilizer, and is suitable for mechanized production, especially to meet the needs of seed fertilizer co seeding.

One、 What are the characteristics of Controlled release fertilizer?

Controlled release fertilizer

1. High efficiency of fertilizer utilization

Nutrients from conventional fertilizers are evaporated by air, infiltrated underground, and washed away by surface water. Less than 30% of them are actually used by crops. The controlled-release fertilizer can avoid the loss of the above-mentioned fertilizer through the control of the outer coating material, and the fertilizer efficiency utilization rate can reach more than 80%.

2. Saving time and labor, liberating labor force

Using controlled-release fertilizer, most crops can only apply fertilizer once a season, saving time and effort to reduce waste.

3. The effect of increasing production is obvious

The release of nutrients was controlled by coating, the supply of nutrients was stable and regular, and the yield of crops was more than 200 kg / mu.

4. Long term use to improve soil

After the release of nutrients, the empty shell can not only store water and conserve soil moisture, but also play a role of aeration and fertilizer conservation, making the long-term hardened soil loose.

5. The effect of sterilization and disinfestation is obvious

The coating material of controlled-release fertilizer is polysulfide compound, which can kill bacteria and drive insects. Each bag of fertilizer is provided with more than ten jin of fungicide.

6. Supplement crop sulfur

Sulfur is also an indispensable medium element for crop growth. After the release of controlled-release fertilizer, the empty shell can directly participate in nutrient release and be absorbed by crops.

Two、 What are the differences between Controlled release fertilizer and Slow release fertilizer?

Slow release fertilizer

Slow release fertilizer and controlled-release fertilizer are both fertilizer with longer fertilizer effect than quick acting fertilizer. In this sense, there is no strict difference between slow-release fertilizer and controlled-release fertilizer. But from the mechanism and effect of controlling nutrient release rate, slow-release fertilizer and controlled-release fertilizer are different.

The release of slow-release fertilizer is affected by many external factors, such as soil pH value, microbial activity, soil moisture content, soil type and irrigation water volume. The release of fertilizer is not uniform, and the release rate of nutrient is not necessarily in full synchronization with the nutrient demand of crops. At the same time, most of the slow-release fertilizer is monomer fertilizer, mainly nitrogen fertilizer.

However, the controlled-release fertilizer is mainly N-P-K compound fertilizer or total nutrient fertilizer with microelements. When applied to the soil, its release rate is only affected by the soil temperature. But soil temperature also has a great impact on the growth rate of plants. In a relatively large temperature range, with the increase of soil temperature, the release rate of controlled-release fertilizer is accelerated. At the same time, the growth rate of plants is accelerated, and the demand for fertilizer is also increased.

Therefore, the release rate of controlled-release fertilizer is in line with the demand rate of plants for nutrients, which can meet the needs of crops in different growth stages.
